Intro to Wild Caving program will take people down into Perry County cave

PERRY COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - People are invited to learn about and explore natural wonders in southeast Missouri through a monthly program.

Intro to Wild Caving is a two-part, expert-led program by the Perry Park Center.

An information session is set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 at the front desk.

Actual cave exploration is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20. Explorers will meet at the parking lot near Pavilion #10.

Organizers say both sessions are required for participants to go into the cave.

Ten spots are open at a time.

Ages seven to 17 must have a parent or guardian register and attend with them.

The registration fee is $20. Click here to sign up online for June.

People can also register in person at the Perry Park Center.

Sessions continue on third Thursdays and third Saturdays through September.
