Driver killed in 2-vehicle crash
BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Butler County late Tuesday morning, June 23.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. on Route T, approximately 4 miles south of Wappapello.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a GMC Terrain pulled into the path of a GMC Sierra.
MSHP said the driver of the Sierra, identified as an 85-year-old Wappapello man, died at the scene.
Troopers said the driver of the Terrain, identified as a 63-year-old Wappapello woman, did not report any injuries.
They also report that the Wappapello man was not wearing a seat belt, but the Wappapello woman was.
The Terrain was towed from the scene with extensive damage and the Sierra was reportedly totaled.
MSHP reports this is the 24th crash-related death in Troop E for 2026.
