New World Cup watch party venue in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The scene at Many Good Things was a lively one for soccer fans.

The bar/restaurant has been a place for local soccer fans to meet and cheer on their favorite team, which for the vast majority is Team USA.

While American football is what many consider the most popular sport in the Heartland, soccer is rising. This may be due to the addition of two new professional teams to the Show-Me State: St. Louis City Men’s and Kansas City Current Women’s soccer teams.

“So, Many Good Things is like our official supporter’s bar for soccer these days, and we were talking about it earlier. It’s so amazing to actually have a soccer bar in Cape Girardeau. I grew up here in the 80s and 90s and there was nothing like this, so it’s amazing to have the support from the owners that we have here. USA! Whoo!” said passionate soccer fan, Brian Cook.
