Driver lost control of vehicle, went airborne before crashing into home, deputies say

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A driver suffering a medical emergency led to a crash and the vehicle going airborne, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the area of Benton Road and Grogan Circle around 11:13 a.m. on Friday, June 19 for a reported crash.

According to the sheriff’s office, a Calvert City, Ky. man was driving southbound on Benton Road when he experienced a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle.

Deputies say the vehicle traveled through several parking lots, became airborne when crossing Grogan Circle and then crashed into a nearby home.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with “non-incapacitating injuries.”

Deputies say, fortunately, no one else was injured.

The Reidland Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS and Stinnett’s Towing also responded to the scene.
