Passenger seriously injured in single-vehicle crash

Two women were injured in a Butler County single-vehicle crash on Thursday.

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - Two women were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Butler County on Thursday, June 4.

The crash happened around 12:35 p.m. on the U.S. 67 off-ramp, approximately a half-mile north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound SUV went off the road, flipped and hit a tree.

The driver, identified as an 81-year- old Monterry Nuevo Leon, Mexico, woman, reportedly suffered minor injuries and was taken to Poplar Bluff hospital.

MSHP said the driver’s passenger, a 75-year-old Monterry Nuevo Leon, Mexico, was seriously injured and flown to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.

Troopers report the passenger was not wearing a seat belt and the SUV was totaled in the crash.
