Child seriously injured in 2-vehicle crash

DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A child was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Dunklin County on Thursday evening, June 4.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a southbound Ram pickup truck pulled into the path of a northbound Nissan pickup truck on Highway 25, approximately 2 miles east of Holcomb.

It happened around 5 p.m.

Two passengers in the Nissan were hurt in the crash.

MSHP said a 59-year-old Delta woman suffered minor injuries and a 10-year-old Delta boy was seriously hurt.

The woman was taken by ambulance to a Poplar Bluff hospital.

Troopers said the boy was flown to a Memphis, Tennessee, hospital for treatment.

MSHP said the boy was wearing a seat belt, but the woman and the driver of the Nissan pickup were not.

According to the MSHP online report, the driver of the Ram pickup, a 67-year-old Hayti man, and the driver of the Nissan pickup, a 50-year-old Delta man, did not report any injuries.

Both trucks were reportedly totaled in the crash and were towed from the scene.
