MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - A weekend collision in western Kentucky ended with one man being sent to the hospital and a woman facing multiple felony charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the area of Glenn Street in Lone Oak at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 5 for a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.

When they arrived, the deputies found the man who was driving the motorcycle with serious injuries. He was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, but had to be transported to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.

Further investigation found that the driver of the car, 19-year-old Tavionna Edwards, had chased after the man with a knife.

The sheriff’s office said Edwards then allegedly ran her vehicle into him intentionally while he was on the motorcycle, sending him flying into an apartment door.

Edwards was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and menacing. She was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by Mercy Regional Ambulance, the Paducah Police Department and the Kentucky State Police.
