CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Emergency personnel have reopened E. Main Street in Carbondale, Illinois after a crash that caused a gas leak.

According to the Carbondale Police Department, officers and firefighters were working on a single-vehicle collision in the 1300 block of E. Main Wednesday night.

Authorities say it caused a gas leak. However, it was quickly resolved.

Drivers can now pass through, but crews are expected to remain in the area for an extended period.
