Suspect facing charges following deadly shooting near Cambria, Ill.

CAMBRIA, Ill. (KFVS) - One person was charged with murder after a shooting investigation in the Cambria, Illinois area of Williamson County on Saturday, May 25.

Alan B. Connor, 55, of Carterville, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm and one count of attempted murder.

According to Sheriff Bennie Vick, Dustin Bean, 38, of Herrin, died from his injuries.

A second victim, Jody Price, 42, of Cambria, was in critical condition.

Authorities and paramedics responded to the intersection of East Vermont Street and Walnut Street in Cambria on Saturday morning after a 911 call. Both Bean and Price were found shot at the location.

Connor is being held at the Williamson County Jail on a $1 million bond.

The investigation is still ongoing.
