Pritzker to ‘pause’ public events while recovering from outpatient procedure
(25News Now) - Gov. JB Pritzker will undergo an outpatient urology procedure on Monday, Nov. 9 leading him to “pause” public events during his recovery, a governor’s spokesperson said.
“This is the standard and final follow-up to the same procedure he completed in May 2026,” said Matt Hill, the governor’s deputy chief of staff for communications.
Pritzker was briefly hospitalized in May after suffering what his office said was a “minor complication” from a urology procedure.
Hill said in a statement Friday night that Pritzker will continue fulfilling his duties but “pause” public events while he is recovering.
“The Governor is grateful for well-wishes and looks forward to resuming public events soon,” Hill said.
