‘Love Island USA’ executive producer dies during show’s production following medical emergency

(Gray News) — An executive producer for “Love Island USA” died last week while the show was filming in Fiji, according to multiple reports.
People and NBC News confirmed that executive producer James Barker, 40, died after suffering an unexpected medical emergency.
TMZ first reported the news.
Further details of his death were not released.
Barker had worked on “Love Island USA” since 2020, first serving as a producer and then working his way up to executive producer.
“Love Island USA” is a hit reality dating show in its eighth season. It airs on Peacock.
According to NBC News, Barker previously worked on other hit shows, including “Pawn Stars” and “Queer Eye.”
