Woman accused of locking 3 children in running vehicle inside garage

SPRINGVILLE, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) - A woman is facing attempted murder charges for an alleged crime involving her three children, according to Alabama court documents.

St. Clair County arrest records allege Alicia Cade, of Springville, locked herself and her three minor children in a vehicle while it was running inside a garage.

During her arrest, the 42-year-old woman allegedly hit the officer in the face, resulting in an assault charge.

Cade was also previously charged with arson, but that charge was later dropped during an Aniah’s Law hearing April 28.

Cade is being held in the St. Clair County Jail. Records show she was booked May 22.
