Teen seriously injured in UTV crash
STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. (KFVS) - A Bloomsdale teenager was seriously injured in a crash involving a UTV in Ste. Gevieve County on Sunday, April 26.
The crash happened around 12 p.m. at the intersection of Kinsey Road and Misplay Road.
This is northwest of Bloomsdale.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 15-year-old boy was driving a UTV and failed to stop at the stop sign and drove into the path of an SUV.
MSHP said the UTV hit the front end of the SUV and the UTV then slid off the road and hit a fence post/tree.
The teen was then flown to a St. Louis hospital with serious injuries.
MSHP said the driver of the SUV, a 23-year-old Bloomsdale woman, did not report any injuries.
Troopers said the teen was wearing a safety device and the UTV was totaled in the crash.
The SUV reportedly has extensive damage.
