KY Gov. Beshear announces $12.4M in state funding for site development

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced that $12.4 million in state funding will help communities all over Kentucky prepare sites for project investments.

The Kentucky Product Development Initiative(KPDI) provides funding for local communities to boost investment in site and building upgrades.

Approved projects in or near the Heartland include:

  • $45,000 to the Fulton County Fiscal Court, on behalf of the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority, to perform due diligence for Enterprise Park.
  • $50,000 to the Ballard County Fiscal Court, on behalf of the city of Wickliffe, to perform due diligence on a 30-acre site along the Mississippi River.
  • $1.1 million to the Todd County Industrial Foundation to prepare two 100,000-square-foot building pads at the 24-acre John E. Walton Business Park.
  • $1.7 million to the Hopkinsville Industrial Foundation to conduct infrastructure improvements at Commerce Park II Rail Site in Christian County.

To date, Gov. Beshear and the Kentucky General Assembly have approved up to $170 million in funding for KPDI. For more information about the initiative, visit the Kentucky Product Development Initiative website.
