CENTRAL, La. (WAFB/Gray News) - Louisiana authorities say they are investigating a deadly crash that occurred on Thanksgiving evening.

According to the Central Police Department and the Baton Rouge Parish EMS, three people, including a baby, were killed, and one adult remains in critical condition after a head-on crash on a local road.

Officials said the crash happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 7500 block of Joor Road. Investigators believe a southbound vehicle with a single occupant crossed the center line and slammed into a northbound vehicle carrying three people.

Three of the occupants in the northbound vehicle died from their injuries, including a juvenile, officials confirmed. The fourth person, an adult, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office identified the two adult victims as Howard Gross, 58, and Reginald Hall, 44. The baby’s identity was not immediately released.

Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene, where Joor Road was closed for hours for the on-scene investigation.
