Wreaths leaving Scott City to be spread across America to honor veterans

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) -

Buchheit Logistics is helping honor veterans for a second year in a row as a part of the Wreaths Across America program.

The first load of wreaths left their Scott City facility on Thursday, December 15 at 9:30 a.m. for the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

The first part of the second load of wreaths went to two locations in Springfield, Illinois on Wednesday, December 14 at 9:30 a.m.

The remainder of the load will leave The Scott City facility on Saturday, December 17 at 9 a.m. for delivery at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois.

A motorcycle and police escort were expected to carry the wreaths through The Heartland.

The national Wreath Laying Ceremony is set to he held at both of these locations on Saturday, December 17 at 11 a.m.
