Yadier Molina wins Platinum Glove Award

NEW YORK (KFVS) -

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina won his fourth Rawlings Platinum Glove Award as the National League's best overall defensive player.

The award has only been given out five times, starting in 2011.

Tampa Bay's Kevin Keirmaier won in the American League, his first.

The awards were presented during the Gold Glove Awards ceremonies Friday night in New York.

Ken Griffey, Jr. was inducted in to the Gold Glove Hall of Fame with a presentation by Ozzie Smith.

Don Mattingly presented Joe Torre with the Heart of Gold Award for Torre's Safe at Home Foundation work.
