CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A new American flag is flying over Cape Christian School.
Members of the U.S. military were on hand. The Boy Scouts helped with the flag raising.
It was part of a flag retirement ceremony.
Lars Monia is a graduate of the school, and now an officer in the U.S. Navy. He built the flagpole as a scout service project while in school.
