Woman arrested for DUI, hit and run

CALDWELL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Kentucky State Police arrested a woman accused of DUI and a hit and run on Friday.

Joyce Lowe, 43, of Kuttawa, Ky. is charged with fleeing and evading 1st degree 1st offense, leaving the scene of an accident, DUI 3rd offense aggravated, driving DUI suspended 1st offense aggravated, possession of open alcohol container in motor vehicle, and failure to produce insurance.

KSP received a call at 12:05 p.m. of a hit and run at the North Welcome station in Land Between the Lakes.

The caller identified the vehicle and gave the license number.

A trooper found the vehicle at the intersection of US 62 & Ky 810 South.  The trooper tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored his emergency equipment and went on Ky 810 South and then turned on Chestnut Oak Road, according to KSP.

She stopped at her home where she was taken into custody.

Lowe was taken to the Caldwell County Jail.

    A woman from Katy, Texas has been booked into the Wichita Co. Jail and charged with Prohibited Substance and Item in Correctional Facility.
