MURPHYSBORO, Il. -- A Southern Illinois teenager remains in jail Sunday after police say he threatened to shoot people at a high school prom.
Eighteen-year-old Shane S. Bramlett was arrested Saturday and charged with making a terrorist threat, intimidation, violating a protection order and telephone harassment.
He's being held in the Jackson County jail on $100,000 bond.
Family members are declining to comment on the arrest.
Murphysboro police say Bramlett threatened the Murphysboro High School prom. Authorities still aren't sure if he was a student at the school.
The school's prom was held last night at the nearby Carbondale Convention Center. Extra security was brought in to monitor the festivities, which went on safely.
