Trent Page has been sworn in as the new police chief in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

MT. VERNON, IL (KFVS) - Trent Page has been sworn in as the new police chief in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

According to the police Facebook page, he was sworn in Tuesday morning, August 28 at City Hall.

He has been with the department for 21 years.

Chief Page served as the Assistant Chief for the past four years.
