Two southern IL men sentenced to prison for gun charges

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (KFVS) - Two southern Illinois men were sentenced this week to prison for firearm charges.
44-year-old Bobby A. Commons of Herrin, Illinois, was sentenced to a 60-month term in federal prison for a firearm offense, according to United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois Steven D. Weinhoeft.
Commons pled guilty to a one-count indictment charging him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
29-year-old Anthony I. Hunter of Murphysboro, Illinois, was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for a firearm offense.
Hunter previously pled guilty to a one-count indictment charging unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
