Democratic politicians from all over Illinois met August 23 in Murphysboro at the 17th Street Warehouse for the Jackson County Democrats Annual Andrew Jackson Dinner.
The community was able to meet and talk to politicians about what matters to them.
Along with local politicians Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza and Democratic Candidate for Governor Illinois, who was the keynote speaker. J.B. Pritzker talked about the message he wants voters to know about him.
"I've been here the entire time, throughout this campaign," J.B. Pritzker Democratic Candidate for Governor Illinois. "I've met so many people throughout Jackson County, and Carbondale. I'm listening to working families to make sure we put Springfield back on their side. That means focusing on healthcare, education, and very importantly jobs in southern Illinois.
