Jackson, MO firefighters start 9-11 memorial fundraiser
Firefighters in Jackson, Missouri have started to raise money to build a 9-11 memorial.

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - Firefighters in Jackson, Missouri have started to raise money to build a 9-11 memorial.

It would be located at the complex on South Hope Street.

According to the Jackson Fire Department's Facebook Page,  the base of the memorial will be the shape of the Pentagon, with two towers in the center of the memorial with the 343 names of the fallen firefighters engraved on them to pay respect to those who bravely gave up their lives to save others. There will be a kneeling firefighter statue facing the towers as a sign of respect for all who were affected.
