CHESTER, IL (KFVS) - A Chester, Illinois man was taken into custody after running from a traffic stop on Monday, August 20.
According to police, Austin McCormick, 24, was found by a K-9 hiding on a porch on Sycamore Street.
McCormick tried to run again but was captured by the K-9. The man initially ran from a traffic stop in the 600 block of Holmes Street near Brenda Street.
McCormick was treated for minor injuries was taken into custody. He was booked into the Randolph County Jail.
He was arrested on warrants, including one out of Perry County, Missouri for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and another out of Randolph County for resisting a peace officer.
The Randolph Co. Sheriff's Office assisted with the search.
