Meeting at Osage Centre Aug. 21 to discuss diverging diamond interchange
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Missouri Department of Transportation officials say the junction between Cape Girardeau and Jackson will be a lot safer soon.
At a meeting at the Osage Center, MODOT officials say the bridges would be converted to a diverging diamond interchange.
While the redesign may seem intimidating to drive through, officials say it's actually pretty simple to use.
With the lights and everybody staying in their lanes and obeying their lights and everything, I'm sure it's just like the roundabout," said Alan Wengert. "It's just something you're going to have to get exposed to and get used to and from that point forward it will be second nature to everybody."
