CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Three Missouri Veterans Homes are getting upgrades including the home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
According to the Missouri Veterans Commission, $35 million will be spent on the Homes in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis and St. James.
The Cape Girardeau Home will get a renovation including new flooring, upgraded windows, and other improvements. The contract was awarded to Farnsworth Group, of St. Louis.
"We are excited to see these Veterans Homes projects now moving forward with design," said Missouri Veterans Commission's Executive Director Grace Link. "Modern high-quality facilities not only better accommodate our Veterans and make their lives more comfortable, they allow us to provide higher quality care for our nation's heroes."
