Jackson County deputies to increase patrols during holidays

JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Jackson County, Ill. Sheriff's Office will begin its Traffic Safety campaign.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, in the upcoming weeks, deputies will be conducting patrols aimed at encouraging safe driving through the Labor Day Holiday.

These patrols are meant to increase enforcement of Driving Under the Influence, occupant protection, speed and distracted driving laws.

This was made possible by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Illinois Department of Transportation, Bureau of Safety Programs and Engineering.
