MUDDY, IL (KFVS) - A Harrisburg, Ill. man was rescued from a culvert drain in Muddy, Ill. on Aug. 18.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, they received a call around 10:30 p.m. of a man being trapped in a drain. EMS crew and Harrisburg Fire Department arrive at Public Street in Muddy, Ill. A deputy arrived on the scene and saw a man trapped in a 14-inch culvert drain pipe.
Crews rescued David Duffy, 41, of Harrisburg, Ill., and he was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center for treatment. It was unknown why Duffy was in the culvert drain, but a neighbor said they heard something while walking their dog around 6:30 a.m., but was not able to find Duffy.
