Driver injured in concrete truck crash in Perry Co., IL

PINCKNEYVILLE, IL (KFVS) - The driver of a concrete truck was injured after a crash on IL Route 154 at Crocus Road. It happened at 3:35 p.m. on August 16.

According to Illinois State Police District 13,the 2007 Peterbuilt truck was westbound on Route 154 near Crocus Rd. when the truck left the road to the right and hit an embankment.

The truck overturned and came to a rest in the westbound lane of Rt. 154.

The driver, Brian Cook, 36, Pinckneyville, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Charges include improper lane use.
