Rep. Bost announces pair of federal grants awarded to SIU Carbondale
Representative Bost announced a National Science Foundation (NSF) funding award of $180,000 and a Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) award of $244,850 to SIU Carbondale.

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - U.S. Representative Mike Bost announced on Tuesday, Aug. 14 that a pair of federal grants will be awarded to SIU Carbondale.

Representative Bost announced a National Science Foundation (NSF) funding award of $180,000 and a Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) award of $244,850 to SIU Carbondale.

"These grants are important for SIU and the surrounding community," said Bost. "They provide vitally important investment to further scientific research that will prepare young people today for the careers of tomorrow."

The NSF grant will support a project related to quantum computing, while the HHS grant will be used to further research into the development and function of Sertoli cells.
