A few scattered showers and thunderstorms are developing across the area on Tuesday, August 14.
Chief Meteorologist Grant Dade says outside the storms it's warm and muggy. This evening, there will be a few isolated showers and thunderstorms, but most activity will weaken after sunset.
Temperatures will remain muggy. Lows by morning will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
Grant says Wednesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially across the northern half of the Heartland.
Storms may enter our northern counties before sunrise, causing a slight impact to the morning commute.
Highs will range from the lower 80s in the north to the upper 80s in the south.
