JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Illinois State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-64 in Jefferson County, Ill. on Aug. 13.
According to ISP, Rita Humphrey, 62, of Paducah, Ky. was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-64. Humphrey continued until she hit a vehicle driven by Warren Wildman, 81, of Shoals, Ind. hitting the driver's front corner of the vehicle. Humphrey came to rest on the inside guardrail and Wildman hit the outside guardrail, coming to a rest in the right lane.
Humphrey, Wildman and Wildman's passenger Leslie Wildman, 76, of Shoals, Ind., were taken by ambulance to a local hospital. All three had non-life-threatening injuries.
Humphrey was cited for Driving the Wrong Way on a Controlled Highway.
