Bomb-making materials found in vehicle at Harrisburg, IL Medical Center
HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) - An Indiana man was found with bomb-making materials in his vehicle in Harrisburg on Saturday, Aug. 11.
The man was involved in a minor crash on Friday, Aug. 10 on US Highway 45 North near Muddy.
He was later taken to Harrisburg Medical Center for treatment and his vehicle was left there. He was also found with a firearm on him.

On Saturday, Harrisburg Medical Center security had reported to Saline County Deputy Charles Welge that the man was making threats and that vehicle his vehicle needed to be removed from the parking lot.
Deputy Welge searched the vehicle and found several items that were consistent with bomb-making materials and an item that appeared to be a pipe bomb.
The area was secured and the Secretary of State Police Bomb Squad was called to remove the items.
The investigation is ongoing.
The Harrisburg Police Department assisted the Saline County Sheriff's Office and the Secretary of State Police.
