ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A man from Jackson, MO was severely injured following a fiery crash at the St. Francois County Raceway on Aug. 11.
According to St. Francois County Ambulance District Administrator David Tetrault, a 28-year-old man from Jackson was in a modified ATV. On the first turn, the ATV rolled over twice and caught on fire and the man became trapped.
Emergency crews attempted to put out the flames and pulled the man from the wreckage. The man suffered first, second and third-degree burns.
The man was airlifted to a burn center in St. Louis for treatment and is in stable condition.
