STE. GENEVIEVE, MO (KFVS) - The 52nd annual Jour de Fete kicked off in Ste. Genevieve on Saturday, Aug. 11.
There were thousands in attendance the first day of the weekend event and will grow to up to 10,000 people over the course of the two-day event.
Downtown was shut down to traffic to allow people to shop and visit over 500 booths throughout downtown and Moses Austin Park.
Live music was heard throughout the event including the Blue Marlin Band on Saturday night.
People were also able to tour the many historic homes in downtown along with visiting other shops and businesses the city had to offer as well.
Jour de Fete will continue on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
