Two Lake of Egypt men accused of kidnapping teen extradited to Mississippi

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Two men were arrested in Williamson County, IL accused of kidnapping a 14-year-old Mississippi boy.

According to our Memphis based sister station WMC Action 5 News, the boy was reported missing from Olive Branch, Mississippi on Aug. 1.

He was located in Williamson County four days later.

The boy was found accompanied by Jason St. Aubin, 29, from the Lake of Egypt area, according to Williamson County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday, Aug. 7, deputies executed arrest warrants in Lake of Egypt, arresting Jason St. Aubin and Juan Andrade, 30, from the Lake of Egypt area. Both were taken into custody on kidnapping charges from the State of Mississippi.

The juvenile was taken into protective custody and was reunited with his family later that day.

According to our Memphis based sister station WMC Action 5 news, the boy's parents said he met two men who lured the boy away from his home by using a messaging app.

The boy is an avid video game player who often used the app Discord.

After their arrest, both suspects were housed in the Williamson County Jail until they were extradited to Mississippi on Thursday, Aug. 9.

According to the Williamson County State's Attorney Office, St. Aubin and Andrade are not facing charges in Illinois.
