2 sentenced after Pulaski Co., IL detention center escape

PULASKI COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Two inmates were sentenced on Monday, August 6 after an escape from the Pulaski County Detention Center in July.
Alexis Chacon, 18, and Juan Gutierrez-Villazana, 27, were each sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections for concealing or aiding a fugitive.
According to Pulaski County State's Attorney Jim Flummer, Chacon was sentenced to two years incarceration and Gutierrez-Villazana was sentenced to one year incarceration.
He said the sentences were pursuant to plea agreements.

On July 17, 2018, the two escaped from the facility. Chacon was caught south of Anna, Ill. trying to hitch a ride.
