Carly James the Assistant Director of Student Center Programs said that the school will be changing policies on how many people will be allowed in the parade. Also, she said that this will give students and alumni not in the parade a way to still be engaged with the festivities.

This will also give an opportunity for everyone to interact with local businesses that will be selling alcohol during the parade.

The school would like for the open container to be allowed starting at 8 a.m. and end by 11 p.m. The proposal will be up for a vote sometime in the future. the parade is on Oct. 20.

"We are going to have certain zones where we want the students to be," Carly James, Assistant Director of Student Center Programs. "That doesn't mean that will be the only place were alcohol is allowed, but with our students in one area, and you do have your family and you are concerned about being around the students and they may be getting a little loud cheering for their friends in the parade, you can sit somewhere else and you can kind of see where that zone is."
