Cape Girardeau fire crews respond to truck fire on I-55

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A truck fire on Interstate 55 had fire officials responding on Thursday, Aug. 2.
According to Battalion Chief Mark Starnes, no one was inside the vehicle when it caught fire. There were no injuries.
It happened at the 95 mile marker.

There was no crash and traffic was not blocked according to Starnes.
He said two engines responded as well as the Battalion Chief vehicle.
The first engine put out the fire quickly and responders were there for about 40 minutes.
