17-year-old driver injured in crash, car became airborne in McCracken Co., KY
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A 17-year-old driver was injured in a crash in McCracken County, Kentucky on Saturday, July 28.
According to the sheriff's department, deputies were told of a single vehicle crash on the 500 block of Bryant Ford Road.
After an investigation, 17-year-old Megan Reed of Benton, Ky was headed north on the roadway. She was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro on top of a hill at a high rate of speed according to officials.

She lost control of the vehicle and began to skid in a north-west direction and left the roadway. Officials said the vehicle struck a mailbox, driveway, culvert and became airborne.
The vehicle then struck a tree head-on in the front yard of a home before stopping.
Reed was taken to an area hospital for incapacitating injuries.
McCracken County Sheriff's Department said they were assisted at the scene by Reidland Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance and Speedy's Towing.
