1 dead in single-vehicle crash in Pope County, IL

POPE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Pope County, Ill.
According to ISP, Weston Adams, 28, of Golconda, Ill. was driving on Glen Dale Road in Pope County, Ill. when his vehicle left the shoulder.

Adams' vehicle traveled through a shallow ditch, hitting a tree before coming to a stop. Adams was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Adams' passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim is being withheld at this time.
ISP is investigating this crash.
