Childhood friend, Adam Birk and Christopher Ludwig spoke with Missouri Representative Smith during a tour of their company and operations.

As the chickens clucked, they discussed federal agricultural issues, including foreign tariffs, such as the recent import tariff implemented in China.

"Our farmers can compete with anyone in the world if we are on a level playing field," said Rep. Smith. "The problem with the Chinese , there's two types of companies in China, there's government owned companies and government subsidized companies. Stop that, and our farmers will beat them every tooth and nail."

Jackson Egg Company sells their eggs grocery stores in the Heartland and in the St. Louis area and also to restaurants.
