BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Butler County Sheriff's Office along with the Butler County Coroner's Office are investigating the death of two elderly residents on Wednesday, July 25.

This is in the 1500 area of County Road 243, near Ogelesville in southern Butler County, Missouri. The couple involved were husband and wife.

According to Sheriff Mark Dobbs, after arriving at the residence deputies found the two people that appeared to have been shot once each.

According to the sheriff, a preliminary investigation shows it could be a "possible murder-suicide."

The investigation continues. There will be no autopsies.
