Western KY missing man wanted for child abuse, assaulting officer

HICKORY, KY (KFVS) - The Kentucky State Police Post 1 is asking for help in finding Jonathan D. Mahan, 35 of Melber, Kentucky on various charges.

Mahan is described as a white male, standing 6' tall and 175 pounds.  He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Mahan is wanted by the Kentucky State Police for 10 counts of criminal abuse first child under 12, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, fourth-degree domestic assault and other charges out of Graves County, Ky.

He was indicted by a Graves County Grand Jury in 2017 on the charges. Mahan did not show for his court appearance on January 8, 2018.

On February 2, Mahan was reported missing by his sister.  According to her, he was last heard from on or about January 28.

His vehicles were located at his home, but he has been known to hitchhike.

KSP Post 1 has searched area for him along with KSP Post 10, and 11 where KSP had received tips of his whereabouts, but he was not found.

KSP Post 1 is continuing to search for Mahan who is entered NCIC (FBI) as a wanted person.
