Harrisburg man found guilty of leading officers on chase

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Harrisburg man was found guilty of multiple charges on Thursday, July 19.

47-year-old Jerry D. Leach was found guilty of a Class 4 felony charge of Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer and a Class A misdemeanor charge of Driving While Driver's License is Suspended.

Leach led officers of the Harrisburg Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff's Department on a high-speed chase through residential streets of Harrisburg.

Leach had warrants for his arrest at the time and his driver's license was suspended.

He will be sentenced by Judge Walden E. Morris on August 29, 2018.
