Du Quoin, IL road blocked off due to crumbling building downtown

DU QUOIN, IL (KFVS) - A road in Du Quoin, Illinois is blocked off due to a crumbling parapet on top of a building in the downtown area.
According to the City, at the advice of the fire chief, the city has blocked off a portion of the sidewalk on North Division Street along with several parking spaces in front of the sidewalk.

The City believes the parapet could collapse and be a danger. Residents are asked to be careful if walking in the area of N. Division.
The City hopes to address the issue soon.
