Social media finds owner of army jacket found in Benton, MO

BENTON, MO (KFVS) - Social media has shown just how powerful it can be once again, helping to get lost things back to where it belongs.

An Army jacket was found in the back of a closet in Benton, Missouri. The person who found it posted it to Facebook looking to find the owner.

Within just a few hours someone came forward saying they think it belong to their family member.

On July 18, Andy Booth met with the person who found the jacket hoping it was his dad's.

"It's small like he was, it's got medals similar to his except for the records aren't complete so we don't know everything about it but it would be awesome because I really don't have much of his," said Booth.

Booth said, he needs to do some investigating to make sure it is his dad's and if it's not he's going to make sure he find the rightful owner.
