Man wanted by KY police on attempted rape and other charges

BENTON, KY (KFVS) - Benton, Kentucky Police are searching for a man wanted on several charges stemming from an investigation that began in 2006.

Police are looking for 49-year-old Mitchell Carl McDonald.

According to a post on Benton Police Department's Facebook page, a grand jury indicted McDonald on burglary first degree, assault fourth degree (minor injury), attempted rape first degree, unlawful imprisonment first degree, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and persistent felony offender one.

Police say McDonald's last known location was in Paducah, but believe he could be anywhere in the Western Kentucky area.

The photo of McDonald released by the Benton Police Department is reportedly a few years old.
