2 burglary suspects in custody after search in Dunklin Co.
STEELE, MO (KFVS) - According to Dunklin County Sheriff's Department, two burglary suspects have been caught.
Dispatchers said the two men are believed to have robbed Greene's Pharmacy in Steele, Missouri around 2:45 a.m. on West Main St.
One suspect, Quntaurus J. Harris, 29, is from Memphis, Tn. He was arrested by the Kennett Police Department according to officials and taken to Pemiscot Co.
The second suspect is a 43-year-old man from Osceloa, Arkansas, Eric Jones. He was transported to the Dunklin County Jail and then to Pemiscot Co.
Law enforcement said the men forced their way inside the pharmacy and took an unknown amount of pills.
The officers arrived as the suspects left the store and attempted to arrest them. Then a vehicle pursuit began in Steele on Wednesday, July 18.
Pemiscot County and Dunklin County Deputies assisted Steele Police in the chase.
That chase ended in Dunklin County with a crash near the intersection of Highway Y and 164. This is north of Hornersville, Mo.
From there, the two men ran on foot according to officials.
Dunklin County crews were searching for the suspects with a helicopter and K-9 units.
The two suspects are currently incarcerated in the Pemiscot County Jail awaiting the filing of formal charges by the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney.
